Kate is Director of Client Partnerships at the Stott Group, where she helps build systems, knowledge, and relationships that unlock capital for social impact leaders. Kate leverages her philanthropic expertise and relationship management skills to cut through complexity and ensure operational excellence, in service of driving greater impact.
Before joining the Stott Group, Kate worked as Director of Investor Relations at New Profit, a venture philanthropy organization that provides capital and capacity-building support to social entrepreneurs advancing equity. Kate served as a key leader in the organization’s fundraising efforts – including facilitating the design of effective cultivation and stewardship strategies, donor communications, development operations, and team management.
Prior to her time at New Profit, Kate worked at Liminality Partners, a philanthropic advising firm, where she delivered a comprehensive literature review on the state of philanthropy and nonprofit fundraising. Kate also worked at the Obama Foundation, where she provided development and operational support to the CEO.
Kate holds a BA in sociology and Spanish from Dartmouth College. Originally from North Carolina, Kate now resides in Boston and spends her spare time hiking all over New England.
Why I Do This Work
I find my purpose in relationships. It’s a joy to be in relationship with our clients: to connect with them and their missions and equip them with the resources and capacity they need to build mutually meaningful relationships with their funders.
